The Ladies of Charity of St. Martin of Tours in Washington, DC distributed close to 400 bags of food to
the less fortunate in the community for Thanksgiving.
Sixty-two Ladies of Charity attended this very positive gathering. Instead of a keynote speaker each unit was asked “How Do You Serve” and they presented what they do at their units to serve the needy.
On Wednesday December 11th St. Mary’s Ladies of Charity in Lancaster New York held its annual Christmas Party at the home of President Holly Walter. Members brought their gifts for the Immigrant and Refugee Christmas gift drive to the party.
Recently, Saint Sebastian Ladies of Charity in Pittsburgh collected approximately 550 gifts as part of the angel tree project of the Neighbors North Catholic Community.
This past September the Ladies of St. Vincent’s Parish in St. Louis celebrated their 10th consecutive year of their ‘Pounding the Pavement for the Poor Walk’.
The Bridges over Poverty Program, “Getting Ahead in a Just-Getting-by-World.” is a 12-week course facilitated by the Albany Ladies of Charity. They give people in poverty the training and resources to make a better life for themselves and their families.
On November 12-13, Northeastern Regional Vice President Irene Siedlarczyk and Director Holly Walter visited the Ladies of Charity Association in Albany New York.
