See how this association recently grew to the largest group they have had in their 50+ year history– 98 members!

This is a classic example of the Ladies of Charity seeing a need and responding.

The Diocese of Buffalo Association of the Ladies of Charity Celebrates 80 Years on September 1, 2021.

A luncheon followed to recognize and honor Eileen Nowak, who retired June 30 as director of the Buffalo Ladies of Charity, after more than 30 years.

Congratulations to Deborah Self who celebrated 20 years of service.

The St. Matthias Ladies of Charity participated in a COVAC Clinic held at their church, and also purchased Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) needed by medical personnel and first responders.

For many years, Ladies of Charity have volunteered in the kitchen at So Others Might Eat. But due to the pandemic, they were prevented from providing this service. So they recently prepared “to-go” bags for the clients of Central Union Mission.

With the blessings and hard work of Ramon Lomosbog (Lady of Charity Esperanza’s husband), the land was prepared and the seeds were planted. We are truly a family at St Matthias the Apostle Church.

St. Martin of Tours Church Ladies of Charity held a Virtual Mother’s Day Tea on Mother’s Day 2021 and coupled it with a Silent Auction to raise funds for St. Ann’s Infant Home in Washington, D.C.
