The Ladies of Charity from the Our Lady of Lourdes Chapter in Salt Lake City prepare boxes of food containing a gift certificate for families to buy a turkey or meat of their choice for their Thanksgiving feast.
The ladies are preparing to buy Christmas gifts for 88 children in 30 families. “This is something we enjoy doing every year,” said Jackie Harover, LOC president. “Without our gifts, we worry that these children might not otherwise receive anything for Christmas.”
The Our Lady of Lourdes women began serving these families before they became a chapter in 2008.
