The Buffalo Ladies of Charity, an affiliate agency of Catholic Charities, participated in a June 17 service fair sponsored by the Franciscans at St. Patrick’s Friary and Food Pantry. Nearly 20 social service agencies set up an outdoor event designed to educate visitors about housing, health care, job training, summer camp, credit counseling and food assistance. Marilyn Leslie, a member of the Ladies of Charity group at St. Gregory the Great Parish, has a special relationship with Monica Kwiatkowski, director of the food pantry, since the St. Greg’s group regularly donates food and children’s Easter baskets to the pantry.
