The Cathedral of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus
August 27, 2020 — Attend mass at noon, a guided tour of the Cathedral includes a catered lunch and you’ll have time to browse the only Catholic bookstore in Knoxville—-The Paraclete, and to tour and shop at the Ladies of Charity Knoxville store.
The Cathedral of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus was dedicated in March of 2018. It boasts a worship space of 28,000 square feet. The central dome, inspired by the Florence Cathedral, rises to a height of 144 feet (44 m) above the ground. The dome’s interior features images of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and his Twelve Apostles with other saints are depicted. It has a beautiful Rose Window dedicated on May of 2019.
