On Friday, August 26, we will be showcasing projects/programs in and around Knoxville:
- Chester Pun-Chuen will describe the English Language Learners Program that got its start at LOC Knoxville and has grown tremendously and is now state-wide in Tennessee.
- The Scarecrow Foundation will be speaking about the Sustainable Food Pantry for the students at the University of Tennessee.
- Dr. Bruce Spangler, Executive Director of Volunteer Ministry Center, will be speaking to us about “The Foyer”, a low barrier, housing-focused ministry (overnight emergency housing).
- We are also excited to have the Ladies of Charity of Chattanooga sharing information on their Layette Program.
