On behalf of the Ladies of Charity of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church (OLPH LOC), Ms. Gloria A. Lessington presented a monetary donation to “Bread for the City,” a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization located in Ward 8 of the Southeast section of the District of Columbia. The most impoverished Ward in DC.
The mission of Bread for the City is to help Washington, DC residents living with low income to develop their power to determine the future of their own communities. They provide food, clothing, medical care, and legal and social services to reduce the burden of poverty. In addition, they are committed to treating their clients with the dignity and respect that all people deserve. OLPH LOC applaud their efforts in helping others.
