LOC members from the newly-formed St. Raphael the Archangel parish are getting ready for Christmas! Over 25 ladies got together to craft 200 Christmas Cards with St. Raphael prayer cards inside, which they will deliver to their nursing home residents and homebound parishioners. The ladies also made over 500 green paper Christmas angels for the Parish Sharing Tree.
The Pittsburgh Diocese has been going through some changes as each parish is now a combination of several parishes combining members and parishioners. St. Raphael the Archangel was the former St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, Sts. Simon and Jude, and St. Margaret of Scotland. To hold a combined event as described here is no small feat and we are happy to report how the members have embraced the move by joining together and attracting new members as well. Congratulations St. Raphael the Archangel Parish on spreading the joy with your new parish family.
