From AARP:
Protect the health and rights of nursing home residents. Tell your lawmakers to uphold the health and human rights of nursing home residents and their families during the pandemic and to reject any proposal that allows nursing homes to avoid legal accountability related to COVID-19. From USCCB:
Catholic Schools Need Our Help: With economic devastation facing many families across the country, abrupt unemployment and lost income has meant families are unable to make tuition payments to sustain their schools. Also, without Sunday collections, parishes which normally provide financial support to keep tuition affordable cannot assist at this time. Ask Congress to provide emergency aid to Catholic schools and families in the next COVID-19 legislation package, including equitable access to K-12 federal funds for Catholic schools, direct funding to families for tuition payments, and tax breaks for K-12 tuition payments.
From USCCB/Justice For Immigrants:
Send an email to your senators urging them to pass additional COVID-19 relief action legislation but to include immigrants and refugees who have largely been excluded from assistance, particularly DACA recipients, TPS holders, and essential workers.
From Bread for the World:
Call 800/826-3688 or write your senators and representatives urging them to increase SNAP benefits by 15%; to fully fund the international response to the coronavirus pandemic with an additional $12 billion; and to expand and extend the EBT program so families can buy food for their children during the summer months.
