Marta Nicol and Carolyn Shaw came forward to the small shrine with wooden cutouts of Saints Vincent de Paul and Louise de Marillac and the statue of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in place. After announcing their names and their satisfactory completion of the year’s preparation, Sister Annette Frey, S.C., Spiritual Moderator asked Father Anthony Klimco, Administrator, Pro Tem to begin. He blessed the crucifixes and manuals, distributing them to Marta and Carolyn with the words, “Receive the image of the Son of God, Model of Charity. May your glory be in the cross of Jesus Christ.” All prayed the Act of Consecration begging God to guide us in faithfully observing the great law of charity. Father Tony blessed the new members and all Ladies of Charity present received Marta and Carolyn with joy.
