I would like to invite all Ladies of Charity from around the country to participate in a wonderful project that was kicked off at the 2016 National Assembly in New York. We are in the process of designing and constructing a quilt that depicts all of the wonderful work you do in your local associations. The quilt will be displayed at the 400th Anniversary Assembly in Kansas City, in 2017.
Many of you have decided to participate in the quilt, but I am looking for more talented women to come forward with their own design. As you can see from the pictures, you can make it however you would like. We have appliques; embroidery, photo designs, paper pieces, etc.
Your square should start with a 12×12 piece of WHITE KONA COTTON. Have your design fit into an 8 ½ inch by 8 ½ inch area. DO NOT CUT THE 12X12 square; send the whole thing to me. Also, send me a little bit on who worked on the quilt and what it means to your group. Contact me at robesofstl@gmail.com for the mailing address. The deadline for submissions is February 15, 2017.
We are saying “Yes” to the Call of St. Vincent de Paul, so please say “Yes” to being a part of this project!
