The Albany, NY association of LOC sponsored their 5th Annual Coats for the Community event on Oct. 16/17 in Cohoes, NY. We reached 30% more households than last year, serving 390 people. More importantly it was a great community effort with not only the residents and offices of the city of Cohoes, but two surrounding communities with many needs organized their own events with some of our remaining coats. The last of the coats were donated to Catholic Charities. The days of sorting and giving were filled with laughter and stories of kindness and generosity.
