The Junior Ladies of Charity of St. Mary of the Assumption Parish in the Diocese of Buffalo spent two beautiful autumn days, Sept. 26 & 27, in the church parking lot accepting donations of household goods for the Ladies of Charity Fresh Start Program. By Sunday afternoon the truck was full and overflow items were put into cars. 17 Juniors and five adults participated over the course of the weekend. JLOC President Emily Cassel (seated center behind the truck) was in charge of assembling and packing the items for transportation to the LOC Center.
I am very proud of the work that you have done recently for project “Fresh Start!” You did a marvelous job on the last weekend in September. Did you know that Saint Vincent DePaul’s
Feast day was September 27…you probably did…why am I asking?
I am a Daughter of Charity who is a moderator of the Junior Ladies of Charity (and the Ladies of Charity) of Troy, New York (outside of Albany). But I am a native of Buffalo, New York, and I just wanted to say keep up the great work that you are doing!
God bless you all!
