The Ladies of Charity of Bastrop recently voted to provide monetary support for 6 months to the newly organized Men's Homeless Shelter (a first shelter for men in Bastrop county). Bastrop has had shelters for women for many many years, but the men were forgotten.
In other news, The Ladies of Charity awarded one $750 scholarship to John Coleman Schuelkeof, Bastrop High School, a $500 to Clara Duggan of Cedar Creek High School, and a $500 to Adrianna Vinklarek of Bastrop High School.
