The Ladies of Charity of St. Anthony of Padua Parish in North Beach, Md., assisted by dedicated parishioners and significant others, distribute holiday food baskets for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter each year. This past holiday season they were able to distribute groceries for a complete meal to 178 households at Thanksgiving and 165 at Christmas. At the time of the Christmas meal distribution, clients were also able to peruse and select gift items for members of their households. This opportunity is made possible by the work of the Junior Ladies of Charity who solicit gently-used toys and other Christmas gifts throughout the year and refurbish and present them for gift selection.
