As an outreach to the women residing at the Pittsburgh Outreach to Women in Early Recovery (P.O.W.E.R), the combined group of Ladies of Charity from Madonna and Word of God Parishes collected gifts from both parishes, from other groups in their community and from the Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority. The women gathered and with the help of the sorority women and a group of middle school children they wrapped the multitude of presents collected and made a special Christmas bag for each of the P.O.W.E.R residents. For most of the women this is the only presents they receive at Christmas.
