Dear Ladies of Charity and Friends of LCUSA,
LCUSA-ANNUAL-APPEAL-2012The month of November begins the Ladies of Charity of the United States of America’s (LCUSA) 2012 Annual Appeal. This annual request, which began in 2005 as a Christmas Appeal, has been successful in receiving donations for the mission and ministries of LCUSA.
Donations to this year’s annual appeal will be used to fund the work that allows the national organization to carry out its mission of support and leadership. Funding for various services enables LCUSA to be there for you, and to continue an alliance with you in advocating for the most marginalized citizens in your various communities.
As we begin LCUSA’s 52nd year of service to our members, please remember that your prayers and financial support, enables us to fulfill our goals as a national organization. The past years have demonstrated the loyalty and strength LCUSA’s members have generously shown. Together let us plan for another 50 years of service in a world unlike that of yesterday.
LCUSA’s website and other communication tools are supported by the annual appeal. It is the goal of LCUSA that each member has available the necessary information and support to carry out their local ministries and service to those less fortunate. All of this support needs financial contributions and prayers. We thank you in advance for your continuous support and care shown to LCUSA by your actions and dedicated service.
It is important that we set an example for society to follow. Namely, to give dignity to those we serve and allow them to recognize the love of Christ through our actions. We accomplish this through prayer and by first seeing the face of Christ in those we meet. The call is greater today than ever, but your caring love is evident in the way you do your work for those without a voice, without a home, and without a means to be self-sufficient. Yes, together we have the tools and the foresight to make this a better place for all. Your participation in the 2012 Annual Appeal is valuable to all of us as we join together to meet the challenges of today’s world.
With sincere thanks,
Lucy Ann Saunders
LCUSA President, 2010-2012
