The Ladies of Charity of Birmingham, Alabama (dba St. Vincent de Paul Servants of Charity) installed its Charter Members on December 15, 2009, in the Chapel at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Birmingham. This newly-formed community organization is affiliated with St. Vincent’s Health System. A membership drive is planned after the first of the year to invite the Health System associates, and women and men in the community, to join this ministry for serving the poor and vulnerable.
