The District of Columbia Ladies of Charity (DCLOC) parish units address human trafficking by supporting a safe house. They presented Tina Frundt, the house’s founder and a survivor of trafficking herself, with a check representing donations received from each of the DCLOC parish units (Holy Comforter/St. Cyprian, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, St. Benedict the Moor, St. Francis de Sales, St. Gabriel and St. Martin of Tours). The money was raised to help defray the cost of household supplies needed for the day-to-day operation of Courtney’s House, a safe house for persons affected by human trafficking.
