Ladies of Charity members from 4 parishes in the Diocese of Pittsburgh– St. Norbert, St. Basil, St. Albert the Great and St. Wendell– joined into one parish, newly named Holy Apostles.
Fr. Steve Kresak installed the officers of the newly formed group at a ceremony at the 11:30am Mass. The Gospel from Matthew 5: 1-12– the Beatitudes– was a perfect reflection on the works of the Ladies of Charity. Some Diocesan Board members attended and a Proclamation was issued that January 29, 2017 was the official beginning of the Holy Apostles Ladies of Charity Association Pittsburgh, PA.
This formation is the first in the Diocese of Pittsburgh Church Alive! process, where parish boundaries are changing due to economy and attendance. The Ladies of Charity are hopeful for more officer installations as the Church Alive! process continues in the Diocese.

Congratulations and Welcome!
congratulations to you all.
Showing us unity in diversity
Continued growth and success. Congratulations
It has been a blessed journey together to finally become one. Meeting women that we didn’t know, forming new friendships, learning together, opening new doors, has made the merging of our four churches a beautiful experience. We have been truly blessed!
Loved reading Helene’s response to the merger! A true LOC! Congrats to you all!
God Bless each of you and your new parish family!✝✝✝
