In the run-up to World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation on 1st September, and building on the training reflection sent in June on sustainable development, we are delighted to invite you to join us in the following two initiatives:
1) A vast tree-planting campaign throughout the AIC network
- Below you’ll find all the practical information you need to take part in this campaign, which will be launched on 1st September.
2) A time of prayer together for the preservation of Creation
- To mark the beginning of the Season of Creation 2024 (1st September-4th October 2024), religious leaders from around the world will lead a time of prayer and reflection on 1st September, to which we are all invited.
- Schedule: 9am New York; 3pm Paris; 9pm Manila.

- You are welcome to take a look at the Celebration Guide, which presents several ideas for celebrating the Season of Creation (see p.17).
We are also pleased to announce the opening of a new page on our AIC website dedicated to sustainable development.
Finally, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have sent us their suggestions for a shared AIC commitment to take better care of our common home. For those who haven’t yet done so, there’s still time to send them in!
May this Season of Creation 2024 be for each of us, as AIC volunteers, a time to renew our relationship with our Creator and all Creation through celebration, conversion and commitment. Let’s join forces and take action together!
