Dear AIC volunteer friends,
Our second Priority Line of Action invites us to “move forward together”, which is something we can experience in many different ways. Our AIC network gives us the opportunity to bring this idea to life in a special way: through AIC twinnings. The training reflection we are sharing with you today gives some insight into this kind of very enriching relationship that can be set up between AIC groups from different countries. You will also find in the training reflection some testimonials from AIC volunteers who are already experiencing this wonderful way of working together.
Twinnings also enable us to put into practice our third Priority Line of Action, “being open to and welcoming change”. Indeed, cooperation between groups living in different social and cultural contexts implies mutual openness. What a great opportunity to learn from our complementarities so that we can serve our most vulnerable brothers and sisters ever better!
We hope that this training reflection will encourage many groups to set up a twinning, whether at national, regional or local level. We count on your enthusiasm and creativity! It would be amazing if every national AIC association could set up at least one AIC twinning. Will you help us take up this challenge?
For your information, AIC Cuba, AIC Philippines and AIC Syria have already expressed their wish to twin up with other AIC groups (please contact the International Secretariat if you would like to know more). We look forward to receiving many more requests.
We send you our warmest greetings and prayers, and take this opportunity to wish you a very happy Easter on behalf of the whole AIC international team.
