Here is Sister Sheila in 2017 chatting with a resident at the senior housing facility in Emmitsburg. In an earlier post the Emmitsburg Ladies of Charity explained that they work alongside Daughters of Charity to carry on traditions given to them from Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton.
Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon her.
And may the souls of all the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Sister will be missed. She was a wonderful person. I was on the LCUSA board & got to be friends with her.
Will always remember her sweet words, “God loves you and so do I.” Rest in peace, Sister Sheila. Pray for us.
What a lovely lady. Having met Sr Sheila at an AIC international Assembly many years ago I always enjoyed receiving her wonderful, inspiring letters. I will really miss her and her letters…… With all my love and prayers, Marlene
