On December 12, 2016 the Ladies of Charity from Madonna/Word of God in Swissvale (Diocese of Pittsburgh, PA) participated in the annual POWER wrap. POWER stands for Pennsylvania Organization for Women in Early Recovery, a unique program that helps women with drug and alcohol abuse. Volunteers get together to wrap gifts for the residents, some of whom never had a Christmas. The gifts are delivered to POWER and the women open them Christmas morning. Our ladies have a fun time in this wonderful project and look forward to this activity every December.
