The LOC of Binghamton, NY’s Infants’ Program assembles gift bags for new mothers and their newborn babies. The bags include receiving blankets, onesies, sleepers, socks, bottles and a book. In the book there is a printed message from the Ladies of Charity that reads, “Read to your child! It will be a rewarding experience for both of you. Reading can be a special bonding tie between you and your child, which is a precious gift.” The gift bags are put together with love and prayers that good things will happen in their lives. We distribute the bags through our Nearly New Shop, Catholic Charities, Lourdes DeMarillac, and Mothers Cupboard in the Broome County area.
