Some of the members of the Ladies of Charity, Indianapolis chapter, gathered for a retreat September 26-28 at St. Vincent Seton Cove Spirituality Center, Indianapolis.
Directed by Sister Sharon Richardt, D.C., we explored the topic of Christian community using the book One in the Lord: Living Our Call to Christian Community by Susan Muto. It was especially meaningful in that we celebrated the Feast of St. Vincent de Paul on September 27. All who attended found it to be a wonderful time of sharing friendship, food and fun, all essential elements of community. We ended our weekend with a recommitment to our mission as Ladies of Charity followed by Mass.
