For those drawn to the service of those who suffer
As you know, the Vincentian Family is a worldwide community of religious and lay men and women committed to the service of the poor and vulnerable. Such a global network requires a robust communication system to promote the Family’s growth and collaboration. A dynamic website (famvin.org) and multiple social media platforms tell our story, allowing for a continual flow of information and the sharing of formation, best practices and new initiatives. Above all, this digital footprint unites us as we seek to follow St. Vincent de Paul who believed that in those who suffer, we see the face of Jesus Christ.
A fund is being established to enhance our communication network not only among the members of the Vincentian Family, but also with society at large by addressing the realities of global poverty through specific actions that show our passion for God and our passion for the poor.
Some many not feel compelled to give to a call for the growth of digital resources, but these platforms provide us with education, direction, zeal, and like-hearted compassion. It is the poor who will suffer more if our vitality and inventiveness are not renewed by our oneness as a Vincentian Family.
