The Secretariat of Vincentian Pilgrimages is born: A journey of faith and discovery with regard to the places of St. Vincent de Paul, The Vincentian Pilgrimages Secretariat (SPV), an initiative dedicated to the rediscovery of the places that marked the life and work of St Vincent de Paul in France, was born on January 1, 2025. The programme includes organised and personalised pilgrimages for groups, the first of which is scheduled for June 1-13, 2025. A unique opportunity to become immersed in Vincentian spirituality and live an international experience of prayer, learning and community. I share with you a great joy: as of January 1, 2025, the Secretariat of Vincentian Pilgrimages (SPV) was created. In this way, a long dream has become a reality: to be able to go on pilgrimage to the places where great Vincentian individuals ministered in France.
This will be done in two ways: 1) Each year we will propose several Vincentian pilgrimages for which you can sign up. 2) You can come with your own group and we will make a personalized pilgrimage for you. We are already doing this with some of you.
This year 2025 we are going to start slowly since we will celebrate the 400th anniversary of the birth of the Congregation of the Mission, and for this reason the agenda is practically full. But I am sure that from 2026 onwards we will offer 3 pilgrimages per year, in addition to those that you propose. The Secretariat of Vincentian Pilgrimages offers this service to the Vincentian Family throughout the world and to groups that, without being members of our Family, share our admiration for the person, ministry and thinking of St. Vincent de Paul. Concretely I would like to invite you to the:
PILGRIMAGE TO ESSENTIAL VINCENTIAN PLACES
From Sunday, June 1 to Friday, June 13, 2025. We will meet at the Lazarist Motherhouse in Paris and from there we will visit Christological, Marian and Vincentian places in Paris and the rest of France. It will be a unique experience where we will learn, become enthused, have fun, pray and interact with brothers and sisters from different groups and nationalities. Languages: English and Spanish. Price: 2200 euros. Some practical issues: 1) I would like to remind you that registration is limited since the maximum number of participants is 50. For the moment, to register, please write to my e-mail: andresmotto@gmail.com 2) Registration will close on Friday, May 2, 2025, with no exceptions. 3) The price of the tour includes all expenses. Before April 14, 2025, you must pay 50% of the pilgrimage in the bank account of the Secretariat of Vincentian Pilgrimages in Paris and the other 50% upon arrival.
