The Ladies of Charity Guild of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Charleston, South Carolina has approximately 20-25 women of various ages. Some members have been members for many years and others are new to the Ministry. The club recently lost their past President, Mary Eileen Leonard, who had successfully led the club for numerous years.
Currently, the club is growing and expanding their ministry. The ladies meet monthly in the adjacent church school for planning. The group annually has a purse and toiletry drive to benefit the Lady of Mercy Outreach, A Birthright Shower, Soup Sale, sponsors a Friday Lenten Meal, holds a collection on the 5th Sundays, and organizes the Angel Tree.
