At the National Shrine of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, a local Ladies of Charity Chapter volunteers to improve and help their local community. They volunteer throughout the year doing things like: planning and running holiday events, hosting summer picnics, volunteering at a Gettysburg Soup Kitchen, and assisting the elderly. They focus on interacting with residents of two senior living facilities: Lincoln on the Park and Seton Village. The Emmitsburg Ladies also work alongside Daughters of Charity to carry on traditions given to them from Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton. They work hard to spread love, help others, support the poor, encourage education and carry on the Vincentian rule.
