The website of the 2016 General Assembly of the Congregation of the Mission (Vincentian Priests) reports:

ANNOUNCEMENT – Rev. Father Tomaž Mavrič, CM – new Superior General

I have the joy of announcing that on this Tuesday, 5 July 2016, during our XLII General Assembly, Rev. Father Tomaž Mavrič, CM, Vice-Visitor of Cyril and Methodius, was elected Superior General of the Congregation of the Mission and of the Company of the Daughters of Charity.

The 2016 Assembly was held in Chicago– the first General Assembly to be held outside of Europe.

Father Mavrič was born in Argentina, studied and was ordained in Slovenia, was assigned for a time to a Slovenian parish in Toronto, Canada, was missioned to Russia (Siberia), and most recently was the Vice-Visitor of the province of Sts. Cyril and Methodius, which covers the area of ​​the Russian Federation and Ukraine. (source: the Catholic Slovenian website Družina)

  1. God Bless you and give you the wisdom dear Rev. Fr. Mavrič to imbibe the spirit of true vincentian Charism among the members of the congregations………Not making a living but making more to life..
