Mary Beth Legg received the “From The Heart” award from Good Shepherd Center for Homeless Women and Children at the Wilshire Country Club annual luncheon on November 8, 2014. Mary Beth has been working with the Lovers of the Holy Cross order of nuns for over 20 years. They go out in a van on the streets of Los Angeles serving coffee and sandwiches inviting women to return with them to a temporary shelter. There is housing for mothers with their children as well as apartments for single and handicapped homeless women find their way back to society. Good Shepherd has many facilitators to help with their needs. Mary Beth does publicity for their annual luncheon.
